Romans 1:18-32

Romans 1;18-32

An atheist was being chased by a bear one day when he prayed: “Lord, please save me!”

“But you don’t believe in me”, the Lord said.

“Then please save the bear”, the Atheist replied. “Make him a Christian.”

So the Lord did that, and the next thing the Atheist heard is the bear saying: “Oh Lord, I thank Thee for this food which I am about to receive.”

The point is that all men know there is a God. All men know there is a Higher Power and, in Romans 1, Paul says that the Lord will hold them accountable for that information. In his own words, in verses 18-19: “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth . . . because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them.”

The Good News, however, is that Jesus Christ has come to save men from God’s wrath. Atheist, agnostic, or whoever, Jesus died to save all those who would believe in Him. So do you believe in Him today? Have you come to Him in faith and repentance? Or do you fall into one of those categories, atheist, agnostic, or whoever? Maybe, just as importantly, if you are a Christian, do you wrestle with witnessing to those who do?

Come join us this Sunday morning as we talk about that. Come to 46024 Riverside Drive in Chilliwack to learn how to escape the wrath of God through Jesus Christ. Bring your Bible and an open heart. We meet at 9:30. – Jeremy Cagle
