First Corinthians 11:23-24 says: “For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, ‘This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’” Obviously, that was a reference to the Lord’s Supper which we take regularly at GFC but there was a greater principle behind it: we should continually remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. We should continually remember what He did for us at Calvary.
And there is no better time to do that than during the holiday of Easter. Easter is a time when we remember what Jesus did for us at Calvary. It is a time when we celebrate His substitutionary death and victorious resurrection from the tomb.
We welcome you to join us as we gather together as a church to worship the risen Lord! Revelation 1:17-18 says:
“When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, ‘Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.’”
What an event to celebrate!
Everyone is welcome to stay for fellowship and refreshments in the gymnasium building (located across the parking lot), after the service.
