Grace For Your Day July 20

Grace For Your Day

It is no secret that the world we live in today is in bad shape. It is no surprise to hear that it is struggling but what many people do not know is why that is. Many do not understand the cause of all our pain so the Bible tells us about that in Ephesians 4:17-21. Here it says:

So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity.

Paul says that the world is in bad shape because of our sin. It is struggling because we have become callous and given ourselves over to it. In other words, the problem with the world is internal, not external. The problem lies within us and not with anything on the outside. Sociologists like to blame our environment, upbringing, and society for our problems but God does not do that. He lays the blame squarely at our own doorstep which is why Jesus came. He came to deal with our sin.

This is the difference between a Christian and a non-Christian at the end of the day. The Christian has Jesus. The Christian trusts in Him and that changes everything. It changes our hard heart. It changes our callous soul. And, eventually, if we tell enough people about Him, it will change the world which is what we are going to talk about this Sunday morning at Grace Fellowship Church.

Do you ever wonder why the world is so bad? Do you ever wonder what the problem is? The problem is sin. The problem is our own evil heart and God has given us a solution to that. The solution is Jesus Christ. Do you ever get discouraged by the evil that you see around you? Do you get discouraged by how bad things are? We all have but that is okay too because God has a solution for that. The solution is Jesus because, if He can save us, then He can save anyone. If He can change our hard hearts, then He can change the heart of anyone and that is what we will talk about during the sermon hour.

Please join us! You will be glad that you did. The service begins at 9:30 and all are welcome. Bring your Bibles and come ready to hear how Jesus can change the world.
