Grace for Your Day December 27

Christmas is a wonderful time filled with presents and a feeling of newness and anticipation in the air as we marvel at the gift of Christ and his free gift of eternal life. And for the New Year, we often make resolutions because we want to improve ourselves and develop new habits. We want something new and fresh, to shed the old and start something new.

This Sunday we are going to look at a gift that God has already planned for you. It is the gift of a resurrected new body! On Sunday we are going to study 1 Corinthians 15:12-58 where the apostle Paul focuses on the necessity and nature of our new heavenly bodies. Wouldn’t you like to trade your body in for a model that can’t perish? How about one that never gets sick? Or what about a body that can be in God’s presence and glory and not be in any danger of dying or harm?

The gift of eternal life is filled with forgiveness, justification, sanctification, and one day your glorification. There is a day coming when we will be gifted with a glorified resurrected body that is fit for heaven for all of eternity. It will never pass its prime of life and it is perfectly designed to live with God in the new heavens and earth.

Join us on Sunday as we learn about our new glorified resurrected bodies and let’s grow in anticipation of being in God’s presence with our new bodies!

See you Sunday — Kevin Laser
